Methyl Alcohol

The Methanol we offer is also known as methyl alcohol, carbinol, wood alcohol, wood naphtha or wood spirits. It is a chemical compound with chemical formula CH₃OH (often abbreviated MeOH). This light, volatile, colorless, flammable, poisonous liquid with a distinctive odor is also the simplest alcohol that is milder and sweeter than ethanol (ethyl alcohol). It is a polar liquid at room temperature and used as an antifreeze, solvent, fuel and also as a denaturant for ethyl alcohol. It also finds usage for producing bio-diesel via transesterification reaction.
